About Zululand Hospice Association
Ours is a Home Based Care Service, all care is given in the patient’s home, by the team of professional nurses, trained care workers and volunteer caregivers who work closely with the patient’s personal general practitioner, specialist or doctors at the Primary Health care Clinics or government hospitals. The carers visit the patients home and provide holistic care and referral to the interdisciplinary team.
Hospice is free of charge and the cost of the care is covered by donations & sponsors. Should a patient have a medical aid, the medical aid will be billed.

The Ann Gates Wall of Remembrance
The Ann Gates Wall of Remembrance is situated in a serene garden on the premises of the Empangeni house.
Members of the public can dedicate a plaque in the remembrance of a loved one with their name , date of birth and date of passing engraved and attached to the wall.
If you would like to make a tribute to your past loved ones you may purchase a plaque from the Empangeni house or Richards Bay house. The Wall of Remembrance garden is available for viewing and quiet reflection during the day.
Proceeds from this project are utilised for the upkeep of our gardens.
